Hi Vince,
Thanks for your input.
My 5707 has been sitting in the safe for the last couple of years and only used on special occasions...however the last few weeks I have enjoyed the different dial and only time will tell if it has a practical problem.
In regards to a winder, I always worried about having a watch working when it was not being used and wondered about the wear and tear that would occure and I spoke with Breguet's tech's and asked about winders.
They advised that they would feel comfortable with a winder on a watch for about 2 or 3 days per month.
After hearing that, I don't bother to use my 4 watch winder, and left my watches to sit until needed. It might end up on E-bay one day if ever I get time to post the add.
I feel I should pass that info on to you, as I feel a watch not used will get less wear and tear than a watch grinding away on a winder unnecessarily.
Mind you if you swap watches every few days a winder would save a lot of effort as it takes a while to set up a 5707 with the date, time and UTC or GMT, depending on where you live.
That is the great thing about a Daytona...no date...no UTC...just wind and set and away you go.
kindest regards,
Jack
