Breguet

Faux Patina!! Arghhhh

I have two problems with this model—and faux patina is a straight out deal killer for me.

I can’t staaaaaaaand it.

I understand it warms up the dial here. But time passing was supposed to do that.

It’s like reverse plastic surgery.

My other issue was brought up by patrick-y, who I agree with. The movement is an odd, out of character choice here. What’s with that crazy plate? Why the cheesy engraving? I feel the Swatch group’s  goofy/aspirational toolbox tinkering here. This is not a TagHeuer, guys.

Breguet is way past silly stuff like this. I take umbrage, chuckle.

Breguet is an aspiration achieved, not reaching-for.

Shrug.

Other than that…. this is a smash. Everybody wanted this, and now they got it.

In steel, PLEASE, do not give us faux patina. It will kill it for me.

In steel, PLEASE no cheesy engravings. Stay true to Breguet. Utter classicism.

I was hoping this model would be a variant of the Only Watch chrono… and I am disappointed, but I still really love it.

I would love to see, in addition to steel:

BG with matte dark blue dial.
WG with matte dark rhodium dial
PT with salmon dial
TI with dark gray case and black dial
YG with opaline dial

And the variants can be endless and probably will be when they add the 3rd register back at 6.

This is like water in the Breguet desert. Bravo.
