Do not upset about the title i use.

What i mean is, a Breguet Classique 5177 is a good start for those who are walking in the haute horology segment.
Just my view.

Not manual, when the masses demands automatics.

I like this 5177. Not perfect, and that is not only the 5177 you
share, i do also not understand properly the XXI.
Breguet could made a XXI for bringing people into the brand, but if i mirror it to me, i want just another perfect watch which hammer all my wishes.

Is there a Breguet i think which is nice, and would be a perfect entry for me to the more established brands?
This one a 5817 is a candidate.

How refined and elegant. Close to perfection, if only it didn't have this date, but, at least the date background is chromatically matching... And it would have been better with a manual winding movement, even though this automatic movement is nicely deco...

Gorgeous [nt]

This is one of the most beautiful current Breguets.

And yes,the date is not necessary on such a watch!

In total agreement. [nt]

Neither me but I think it is done in a very subtle way with the black dial !

Of course the grudge is still the ‘date window’ 🤣😂

Ah this blue dial beauty’s...

I even like the date, as long as it doesn’t cut into the numerals or minute track. Thank you for presenting it.

Thanks for looking! [nt]

And the finishing is very nice. Some internal angles can be seen. Not bad for entry level! ...

Outstanding!

What a classic watch.

It will be nice

A handwound Breguet which you’ve mentioned. My favourite community watch was the Paul Gerber piece. Actually I was hoping for a special reverso in steel for the community piece, or a Sarpaneva diver perhaps. Have a great sunday!

Of course! ;) [nt]

Really lovely....

but of course even better without a date breaking up the dial. Still a nice watch either way. Darren

It's really not a question of if, more like when 😁. Expecting the 126719BLRO meteorite dial, EW 321, and a couple others as incomings...

the others which were not planned prior to this year are the ones that have occupied my tike recently as they are not expected but quickly jumped on my radar due to oppprtunity 😁😉 Let's hope I will be able to get at least several of them sooner rather tha...

As you say, the date should have been eliminated

Having it next to a numeral is a no-no for me. The date is most certainly not "63"

Good one, Richard. [nt]
