I've always loved this watch
I would buy one if I was confident in my ability to avoid the pitfalls of these types of vintage watches (washed dials, replacement movement parts, etc). I wish Breguet would bring back this model as a limited edition. Some of us can't pull off the large current XX/Transatlantique and would prefer a smaller vintage-design chronograph, especially a Big Eye. Breguet knows their market though.

I don't see *that* much evidence that Breguet knows their market!
Yes, Breguet sometimes seems a little a drift, although they have a new CEO as of the last year or two.
Hopefully we'll see the results of that coming soon.
