The mystery Mil spec is identical in every way t the TR 900 except..
Hi all, First time posting here , but some of you might recognize my screen name.
The Milspec model that Nick has displayed, the civillian Tr900 as Brain called it, is identical in everyway to the TR900 except for the
1)the dial printing (the actual dail plate is 28.5 mm wide, which is the idenitacl size to the TR900, and is larger than the standard 26mm BP FF dials)
2) the crown - which is the same as the crowns used on later milspec models
3) the caseback which is engraved as a milspec, but is identical in spec to the TR900
4) the movement Rotor, which is for a 1361 and is a slightly different configuration than the standard 1361n usulally found in the BP FF's.

Well, this one I don't know as it is not mine,
But I can tell you that the others work perfectly, and if it is not the case, I send them for a service. They are very accurate watches, but I wouldn't test their water resistance, of course. Best, my friend. Nicolas

Have you ever noticed the hands on original tr-900. The second hand lume is always ligher in color than the other hands. I think what you have is leftover tr-900 cases that blancpain made into milspecs. I think that the watche that jeff and nick have show...

Not all the FF come with a 41 mm case, there are smaller, and sadly, some very nice one, as some terrific Lip Blancpain with the same indexes as the new Fifty Fathoms. But the case is 35 mm... OUCH! Best, Nicolas

Is the TR made by Blancpain for the US market? What's the big deal about these models that members seem to talk a lot about? Please enlighten me about the pedegree of these models...I would like/and would be interested to know. Thanks Rod
