The perspective from a current owner is always more interesting in my humble opinion. I have to say I found the release a bit underwhelming and I am not sure who this model is meant for, although as usual I suspect it will do just fine sales wise despite the elevated price tag. The old girl (steel FF) is still my favorite, followed by the Ti case but this new release doesn't move the game in any direction unlike what the 42mm did, for example. The helium crown feels unnecessary and an integrated valve would have been more in tune with the high-end aspirations of the model. Overall not bad but I feel it lacks in character and the spec sheet is underwhelming considering the asking price.

By differentiating and adding a Tech series being 100% true to what is great and preferable for divers, I would argue Blancpain are doing themselves a great favor, allowing them to develop the Automatiques in a different direction, more to the preferences...
