Pleased indeed :)

Fully understand your initial restraint, you were expecting something else I gather. I believe the tech series has to be viewed from a slightly different perspective compared with the Automatiques, although being entirely different, these would in my opinion be the ones carrying the heritage of the vintage delights the good Armanico pleases our eyes with. The sharp focus upon diving.

They probably need that perspective to be fully appreciated as there are hardly any compromises at all, and I appreciate the confidence Blancpain demonstrates by doing so.

If I should take the liberty to guess, a feature which might be transferred to a future Automatique would be a part of the reduction from 15.4mm to 14.1 mm height which benefits the Tech. Not at all certain Blancpain would change the bezel and bezel inlay to that extent as it would change the visual profile of the Automatique quite a bit, but they have demonstrated their capability of pairing calibre 1315 with a 14.1 mm watch. Pretty sleek for a 45mm dive watch.

Cheers, and thank you for facilitating the discussion from a hands on experience, much obliged smile
