My ideal scenario would be exactly what you said, but I am unable to find my dream vintage Fathoms.. I am looking for months and months for a Milspec, or a Tornek Rayville, or even better an Aqua Lung Fathoms, but I do not find any.
Any idea/help where to find a good old piece (authentic seems to be the biggest difficulty) would be extremelly appreciated!

Yes, I did in spring 2010. It is in good hands I hope I did a total overhaul at Blancpain early in 2011 and it is like new ever since. All my other watches, since I got this one and the 45mm (strap) version in 2008, have become sleepers FF's are addictive...
