Baselworld 2010: Grönefeld

Bart
Tim and Bart Grönefeld from Holland showed their massive tourbillon minute repeater in white and rose gold.
I must admit a great preference for the rose gold.

EDITOR'S NOTE
Bart fully acknowledged that starting a watchmaking business was all about .....er.....timing
The brothers had not planned it that way but they introduced their first watch - about as complicated as you could get as a maiden product just when the bottom fell out of the world economy!
Their work experience (Renaud et Papi) is impeccable as is their product but the world was not ready for such a serious piece from new independents. They have lots of ideas being developed into prototypes but need to sell current stock to get things going.
So, for PuristS who want a really special watch, this is the one from the only high-complication Dutch workshop today. How rare is that? It's so rounded that you want to stroke the case all the time (I had gloves on).
I really want to see the next design come to fruition!

PS. A couple of photos below of my favourite colour; that'll be white gold then.........
