I know that they were introduced 3rd Feb 1928, made of clear and satinised glass, signed on the right hand side "R Lalique" if produced up to May 5, 1945 and out of production now. Apparently the production code was 1140. Lots of reproductions exist now. Coloured glass is worth a considerable premium to standard Tete de Paon...

..TS1987, cap doffed your way. The repros of the Tete de Paon were by the current Lalique company themselves and easily distinguishable from the originals (though that did not stop some crooks trying to re-sign them and pass them off as genuine R. Lalique...
