Volvo C 70 T5. Ready for some move.

May 23, 2020,02:30 AM

Well, the C 70 T5 is a special car, but here even more since I made some mechanical improvements on it, in order to have more power, torque and feelings.

Not to be compared to the P 1800E, of course, as it is more brutal, and a modern car is easier to drive than a vintage one. In terms of pleasure, it is very different.

Here is the beast, ready to jump.

Best,

Nicolas

What kind of numbers do you have after the mods?

Massive improvement, especially the torque

All that through a 6 speed and the front wheels? Did you also splurge on a LSD?

Merci, Nacelle. [nt]

I wish they do something extreme with C30 to compete with Golf TypeR etc

.... but the vintage ones, especially the P1800, are growing towards me. This C70 luckily has the right wheels and an amazing color .... this combined with the changes you made and the sound .... AND the 5-pot .... make it a real enthusiast car. So i woul...

True !

That was an iconic model ... well iconic for a Volvo at least ... actually all oldskool Volvo’s are iconic. Damn ! Am i starting to go crazy now ?

Cool moment for Volvo

Tom Walkinshaw and Volvo—Wasn’t that a funky and amazing tie-up? Seeing prepped 850 Wagons on the track was a statement indeed, and the C70 was and interesting foray for Volvo. Recall that during that time, Walkinshaw Racing was also running Touring cars ...

Sounds fun! [nt]
