Not a fan......
Im not a fan - my heart has always been with the V12V - even to the exclusion of a wonderful DB4 and V8 Virage Volante Widebody.
However, prejudice aside for low lying high-powered 2-seat Coupes, the AM fan base and Owners Club (Red Trouser W@nkeritis set) poo-poo'ed the original Lagonda SUV concept in 2009/10.
I would like to think that if they had gone ahead with this they would have had the drop on all the other high-end SUV manufacturers, used the Lagonda brand well and kept the AM brand for the Coupes and Convertibles. Even the Rapide (4 door LWB DB9) would have been better classified as a Lagonda. The DBX falls into a mid category between the Porsche and the Bentley/Rolls (egalitarian style of the first and price of the latter) and therefore misses. No-doubt though it is a quick car but would I like to be sat that high up at 190mph blast? Definitive no.
A proper Aston.........
