My father had the first 430 auto in UK
In 1989. It was an auto box that was homologated and didn’t really work. The back seats didn’t fit properly and there were huge gaps directly into the trunk through the sides! The left-hand set of exhausts fell off as it was delivered. It spent more time at the dealer than on the road and eventually after 6 months it was taken away forever. The couple of times it was working it was astonishingly quick, but in the rain it went seideways!!

Although these Maseratis are not highly sought after
compared to other models of the brand I can see their appeal. These can be had for the price of a new Dacia, but keeping them on the road is another story...

I remember lusting for a Biturbo or 222 or Shamal .... Mr B le C had a BiTurbo convertible back then.
Ah, back then, I only had one great watch, and it was attached to my car...
...but a Cartier nonetheless. Reliability of the QP was a nightmare, but I loved the interior. So sad they don't make cars without large screens anymore. Nice memory of my early 2000's ...

Not familiar with this model, thanks for the post.
But I was always somehow attracted to the early Biturbo and considered buying one but, as with so may of the older exotics, reliability and maintenance always made me decide against it.
I quite like this angular design.
Also of the Quattroporte from the same era. Or, you can go all-out with the Shamal. (Pic from ) As for reliability not being thir first quality, I hear these guys don’t start when it’s raining and they break down when the sun is shining… ...
