Likewise the Range Rover. But it’s either for the wife or for oneself as a summer city runabout. It’s appreciated for the nice leather, decent infotainment (that was some years ago) and for the style - not for anything to do with reliability. These cars weee seen a bit like Italian cars in Germany in the past - plenty of style and charisma but not something you would seriously contemplate a proper journey in.
I knew only one person there who did longer trips with a Range Rover but he always had a member of staff follow him in a second car 😁

Yup. I say "generally" since I can't account for any one-offs that were built with the F1 transmission.
Just like I would say generally all 575 Ferraris are F1 transmissions. That 550 is a nice car. I've never driven one, but I always liked the shape of the 550 and the 575. My favorite design. The F12 is a near second!

I have driven the 612, nice machine, similar powertrain to the 575. The 575 probably feels similar to the 612. Never owned a V12 Ferrari though; it is a privilege that I haven't sought out yet.
If you get the chance, try a 456 Manual, also came in an Auto
Makes sense they feel similar, the 575/612 were those transition models, I like all cars 😄 whether a Suzuki 600cc or a Mercedes V12 and everything in between

I have an aversion towards front wheel drive cars. But they do seem to be getting better. I rarely rent cars anymore after the pandemic. But in the rare cases when I do - I am sometimes given a FWD and it's not too bad.

Temperamental but felt more rare/special and a connection with the 60s/70s, after that everything changed 430 forward
