I won't give any spoilers but I really wasn't impressed or even really liked the film and am at a loss as to how or why it is getting rave reviews.
Oh yes and the thing with a winners 24 hours Rolex Daytona was just plain stupid. As the drivers he plays are broke no way would he leave all that money available to him just stupid as is most of the film IMHO.

Okay, a rather funny joke in the movie F1, for WIS only,
spoiler alert: Our hero just won the Daytona race, doesn’t linger afterwards because he’s Brad Pitt and just not that kinda guy. Sits in his van, about to leave, his team boss rushes after him, waves I think an open box, shouts: “The watch!” Our hero grin...

Rave reviews because of major marketing efforts...
After all, there is BIG money behind this film. Made for a generation that is into lifestyle rather than cars and racing. Thankfully, I was invited and my frequent naps didn't cost me anything. Don't waste your money and stay home.

A light, upbeat piece of entertainment Predictable, full of technical errors but with a bit of "willing suspension of disbelief" it was enjoyable. To me (More than the current overload of Marvel/DC stuff)

Mainly because of Bardem; Kerry Condon stole my heart!
