I'm okay with not having ICE cars in the future. As the electric cars are pretty good. Before my Tesla, I had a very thirsty V8 AMG Mercedes that would need a gas station visit every week. Now, charging at home and rarely ever going to an "electric car gas station" is wonderful. And for those road trips? Just take a gas car! Also, the charging stops for the electric car aren't too bad - it's just you have to stay productive while you wait for the charger. Also, the Tesla doesn't have a spare tire. So I bought a whole wheel and tire and a jack. And now my trunk space is reduced.
I will provide a counter-argument against electric cars. Electric motors have lower frequency magnetic fields. And while these magnetic fields don't create problems for pacemakers and other things we currently test for, do they cause cancer in some other way? Probably not. But I worry... The waves do distort AM radio signals - do they distort anything else???
