That would be a tough choice, I would prefer a Noble M600, Lotus Evora 400 or Alfa 4c but due to an aging infrastructure and roadworks going on all over the place we need SUVs.
My Cayenne has sports bucket seats in the front which is not so comfortable for my parents, if I had no family obligations and no older passengers to deal with then the Cayenne GTS would be my choice, I've driven it hard and fast, its obviously not a 911 but seriously could out corner and out run the majority of sports cars out there making it an engineering marvel.
For Friends and Family duty the XC90 is an amazing choice, its not ostentatious and extremely elegant and refined.

My sentiments are definitely in-line with yours. For a genuinely sporty, personally appealing SUV I'd get a Cayenne GTS. For a primarily family-friendly SUV with all the safety tech you could wish for I'd get an XC90. Happy driving! Cheers, Filip
