Aahh, but you ...

.. are talking about the 1199 .. i suppose you mean the 1198, a real beast.
I don't agree about the 899/959/1199/1299 not being a Ducati anymore because they are now part of Audi, Audi took over Ducati from an American holding, i remember talking to the big chief at Assen many years ago ... so you could say the last real Ducati is the 916 when they still had Italian bosses smile .
Having ridden 748 / 748R / 916 / 916SP / 916SPS / 996 ; no 749/999; but then again 848/1098/1198; 899/1199 i can only confirm the Panigale-series to be a darn good handling roadbike, plenty of power, lightweight, agility and still a lot of Ducati character .. altough the 1098/1198 really is a handfull at low speed which reminded me a lot of the old 750/900 SS series from the early 90ies. Oh damn ... i even once owned a yellow 900 Superlight from 1993 .. or was it 1994 ?
I'm 46 years old now and only these past few years i'm starting to go a bit more old-fashioned, 10 years ago i wasn't interested in the 916 at all, these days i'm having wet dreams about it smile .. oh and the 888 ... but that was quite a heavy steering bike.
