A curiosity: MVS Venturi 111 Cup.
MVS Venturi was a small ( but exciting ) french brand who made some exciting cars, the Venturi. The smaller car was the Venruri 200 and 260, which existed in a Cup version, using a good old PRV 6 Cylinders engine.
But there was even smaller, especially for the italian market, which, at that time ( 80 and 90's, maybe even after ), preferred smaller engines for some tax reasons.
So we had the 111 Cup. Not many were made, less than 50, from memory. 4 Cylinders, 180 HP instead of 200 minimum for the 6 cylinders versions, and with some honorable performances for that era ( 235 Km/h and 27, 2 seconds for the 1000 meters ( 0, 4 secs more than for the 2.0 6 Cylinders ).
The body is characteristic from this era, blending angular and curved lines, which I quite like.
With a quite luxurious interior, which makes you feel that you more have a GT than a sports car.
This dashboard.... They don't make them like that anymore, alas!
This kind of car deserves a 6 cylinders, in my opinion. For the sound, the performances and the " noblesse ".

Superb models on display here. MVS became only "Venturi" later on and the great Venturi 400GT in 1994/95 was their road version of the race car
Interestingly I did not know they made special versions for Italy. At the time there were limitations to 2000cc / 2 liters for the engines to pay less taxes. this forced Maserati to do a 2000cc V6 twin-turbo to compensate for this limitation ...
308 had a V8
2 litre ... that's like 2 screaming one liter four pots bolted together ... kind of ... Imagine connecting two Ducati 1000cc V4 to each other ... 2 X 235 hp equals 470 hp at 16.000 rpm. Or even 2 MotoGP 1000 cc V4 ... 600 hp at 18? K rpm.

But wasn’t aware that there was this 4 cylinder version - very interesting! But as you said, a six cylinder engine somehow fits it better. Are they still around? I know they were working on an all electric sports car many years back, as an early Tesla com...

Hope you'll enjoy. The french or the art of "auto-sabotage" :( Heuliez etc... And Venturi is now a ghost in Monaco. Very sad.
