Of any F1 car ever. The Lotus type 72 is the one for me and, having heard it on the track too, sounds the utter bees.

My Elise officially turned classic car this year, 25 years old and still really fun to drive.

Wandering past the Lotus showroom in Piccadilly, London - Evija Emerson Fittipaldi - wow!

I like cars, although I am not fanatical about them, but walking past the Lotus showroom in London this afternoon I saw the Emerson Fittipaldi edition of the Evija electric hyper car. I have to say that, in the “John Player Special” colour scheme of black...

Not normally a Lotus fan...

but this one is "to die for"

Basically, yes!

Too bad it is electric!

Too bad

Let's resist! ;)

Which raises the same question than with a Sea Dweller able to go in the Marianne Trench... When and where will we be able to use the super performances of such a hyper car?

 By: amanico : July 30th, 2023-06:38
Being able to go 300 Kph is magic, but in less than 9 secs... And 2000 HP... Give me a third of the power in a 1000 Kilos car and you will already have a rocket. And a dangerous one.

Isn’t the usual response “…but it’s great that it has the engineering capabilities to do these things, even if I will never use them myself”!

At least that’s what I told my wife when I bought my Deepsea. She was not convinced😀 At least with this Lotus (and other hyper cars) it looks particularly beautiful and you can just admire the design. Often other products which are designed for extremes o...

+1

It’s a fabulous piece of engineering …

And I agree with your sentiment. We should also consider the air quality in London and other cities. It was estimated by Imperial Collage London that toxic air contributed to the premature deaths of around 4,000 Londoners In 2019.

High voltage⚡️

Most definitely!

Wow 🤩 …

Hi Jon, This looks epic in “John Player Special” livery. The future looks good for Lotus. Thanks for sharing it with us. Best regards Captain

What a beauty !

Thanks for sharing Jon. Enjoy!

Absolutely, no problem.

Unfortunately I was only able to look, but I would love to enjoy it!

Must be a beast!

Except for the rear view, reminds me of the new Corvette.

Agree

Amazing!

Is that showroom new? I've walked past that area many times last year and I don't recall seeing it.

I don’t know Patrick, I only walk that way 3-4 times a year. I don’t remember seeing it earlier in the year.

I think other car manufacturers have had pop up showrooms there in the past. It’s a good spot opposite the Ritz. All the best, Jon

Well, great of you for taking us with you!

Yes, I come out of that Green Park subway station often when I'm in London. Very cool indeed!

Yes, the black with a touch of gold to enhance the lines looks spectacular.

The type 72 is awesome. I hope you continue to enjoy your Elise. Picture from Lotus: ...

Wow

Now that’s a glorious sight, what a collection of amazing cars! I would love to visit Hethel. I got the Elise back on the road this year afte Covid and it’s still great fun to drive. Lots of country lanes round here to enjoy. Thanks for posting the photo,...

I like that the showroom was open and the car wasn't in a cocoon of velvet rooms and scowling guards!

 By: cazalea : July 30th, 2023-17:36
And I agree it's a beauty. It raises the question though of why beauty is so expensive and ugly is not. Cazalea

Yes, the doors were open and people were just walking in to have a look and take pictures.

It was a good experience and a good opportunity for Lotus to show its wares to a diverse and affluent (apart from me!) audience.
