Yes, you are probably right that it is a lot of work to make it actually look nice.

But I do hope that they go that path at some point. In terms of design the overall direction is very promising.

The [Re]Master01 chronograph was presented by Audemars Piguet in last year's first quarter. The purpose of the presentation was to celebrate the inauguration of the brand's brand new Musée Atelier (Museum - Workshop) in Le Brassus. The inauguration took p...

This watch would have been perfect if the automatic winding was removed. Manual and thinner, and it would have been impossible to resist. It is beyond me why they didn't go that way after putting in all the effort into an amazing dial and case ...

It is quite gorgeous with a lot of beautiful retro characteristics Personally the only think I dont like is two tone casing

One of the most interesting releases from AP in a number of years

There's a lot to like here. Others have said it already, but I too would have preferred a hand wound movement, if anything to contain the watch height which, at 14.6mm, is too thick for my taste.

Lovely photos and thorough (as usual) review...

..but to 'Cons' I would add: -- Too thick This could be changed by putting in a thinner and more era-appropriate manual wind movement. I am a sucker for tow-tone cases, so if the above were implemented I would be veeeery tempted : )

Thanks for this great review

I really like this AP a lot

While this AP does not speak to me...

I deeply 'fear' (chuckle) --based on the level of beautiful detail here--that some next series will kill me... Although I admire this watch, it is not my taste... BUT! There are TWO expensive CHRONOS I am prepared to 'die' for... 1. A re-issue of Breguet ...

Audemars is going downstairs

Totally industrial "hand made movement " They make fun of us If i wanted that kind of movement i would buy an Omega...and with co-axial escapement of course Something is going wrong with AP

Great report, Fx. The watch is beautiful.

I believe a manual winding movement would suit it better, but otherwise I think it is very compelling.
