You recently raised concern over AP not having proper quality with regards to bezel bolts. Your position is the slot on the bolt is most often not centered properly. I picked up my chronograph for the weekend. No, I am not rooting for the Eagles (or the C...
And relatively little misses my eyes - or so I'm told. It's a curse, nothing is perfect, and hotels look a lot dirtier in my eyes than most people's eyes. But so far, I haven't seen anything from AP Royal Oaks that cause me to worry.
Again, I have no problem with criticism of AP. I'm not paid to protect their realm. People can write want they want. But this particular post would have gone much better along the lines of: "Hi all. I am curious about the bezel bolts on your watches. It l...
They just go in a hex type hole and should align perfectly, on the back of the watch is where you screw go connect the bolt. I only ask they make a black ceramic 15202 with a blue tap.. dial and let me test it for 20 years. And please put in a robust move...
The issue the poster raised is specific to the actual slot on the top of the bolt head. He feels that that slot is never centered correctly on the bolt head. Please see my photos above, I hope it is clear.
I can see every troll is out and yet by Michael's own admission they're not all perfect and I can show many others that are off though I don't have permission. Truly classy Credor. Why should I be ignored? I didn't say any disparaging to you so I suggest ...
I'm not worried. I brought something in a respectful way but feel a little attacked but since this is AP and you are a moderator I suggest you go ahead and ban me.
Very funny though. Earlier, I showed this topic to my Son. I made a prediction that rather than reply in an accountable manner, you would come up with some kind of spin. It is the way of the world and I expected this attitude. What you should have replied...
so did I-I never treated you poorly. Glad you made a prediction but am I wrong? I already said I didn't mean every single bolt was off I said every AP has 1 or more bolts off. If I'm wrong I stand corrected and apologize-no need for pitchforks. However I ...
Beautiful watch and an incredible value. Just taking photos - I understand if there seems to be distortion with the bezel screws, the case, and other components that make me wonder if there was a problem this model! Notwithstanding the inconsistency with ...
wrong forum again but the reason why Hublot has misaligned screws is because they use actual screws. AP uses hexbolts on the fron to mitigate the problem but on the caseback they are not aligned as well-anyway this is what I was told.
Hublot probably has 100pct misaligned screws but it's part of the charm of the brand. I don't believe AP has a patent on aligned screws so why can't Hublot do the same by having the same assembly? Cheers Peter
I own several Hublot watches and it never bothered me because they are actual screws and getting them all to align with the requisite torque would be difficult to say the least. Design choice I guess Hublot wants to use screws and not hex bolts. It would ...
wondered how the manufacturer screws in the bolt recessed into a hex hole? Don’t the the hex screw facets hit the sides of the hole? I am surprised this actually works
Then a special female type screw attaches from the back side, over the hex bolt. So hex head bolt cannot rotate in its hex shaped recess, so precise tightening happens from the female screw on back. This thread is not at all about the alignment of the bol...
Thanks for taking the time to post this! I was thinking to do the same, but then decided my fuzzy pictures would just muddle the issue further. Great watch as well! Best response to this would have been to just take the L and move on, but that seems diffi...
