It is always interesting to find out something new.

Though I shall disagree a bit. Most of the parts used in modern watches (AP is not an exception) are not made by hand. They are machined. And it is great news as those components are much more precise.

Applying indices is a simple task. Like one of the most obvious and non-challenging. I guess why VC or JLC (not to mention A.Lange & Söhne) manage to do this operation easily, but AP struggles.

Hand made creations should bring emotions that automatically produced things lack. If a manually made product is made in a negligent way it's hand-made origin cannot serve as an excuse.
