The original Royal Oak Offshore in the early 1990's... Emmanuel Gueit. While chatting, he said he noticed the AP on my wrist, and later told me he designed the modern Jules Audemars as well... Very very cool......

Interesting. He must have been relatively young when he began designing the ROO.
