IMHO and just IMHO. I believe RO was born to be

 

a stylish sport-chic watch, relatively simple technically, but easily recognizable from a mile. We know it became a success and got an icon status by now.
Complicated mechanics doesn't add to described above primary aim, on the opposite- it makes the watch bigger and thicker - less stylish I'm my view. As such, it takes from the original design instead of adding to it.
Skeleton, at least, allows for unchanged proportions, and thus I like it better. However, I see it as an interesting play on a theme, while an icon is an icon, and that's why I would go for classic "simple" Jumbo.
BTW, all above-mentioned I would word-to-word repeat for Nautilus. And between RO and Nautilus I prefer RO, as consider it a lot more interesting and stylish. Just my 2c...
