The alternate title I was going to initially include in this post was…

“what would Michael do?🤔” The majority responses here leans to QP, which in part is because I understand not everyone likes OW aesthetic. Also, this OW is particularly harder to read I think…but I don’t think that is main reason people choosing this would be concerned about. The QP does have the ‘practical’ function, but in reality this isn’t an everyday watch and it’s a big trade off against current pieces I’d have to sell off plus other [more affordable] pieces I may be interested in the future. I am slowing down and consolidating, so it’s a matter of how much of an end-game piece the QP (or other similarly priced piece) really is. For now I’m being prudent and restraining myself from making any such big moves given my normal human reality and priorities. This is what I envision Michael would do.😉

Although I appreciate the complexity which goes into a QP they've never appealed to me.

I totally get that. I know others have that same opinion, but about skeletons. However, I’m a sucker for certain skeleton aesthetics, especially from AP or VC.

I’m not sure if this QP is much easier just because it’s all done from the crown, but it’s still not without reasonable effort to set…which does give me pause.

This particular openwork has the key feature of being 39mm and on the thinner side. That is a big deal to me.

I like the concept of the open/skeleton dial. The problem IMO is in too many you can never read/see the time. Case in point.

You’re spot on, Ron! This skeleton model is particularly hard to read I think…although the other AP skeletons aren’t a cakewalk to read either.
