I love the center ceramic case design👌🏽
The one feature I questioned about this piece was the dark oversized discs, which I wondered why they didn’t make lighter or transparent even like in older models. HOWEVER, when I saw them in your side shot, I understood that they are nicely complementary to the dark ceramic component. So it all makes sense, and is beautifully cohesive!

The 12 hours appear on the 3 blackened aluminum discs
The 0-60 minute track runs across the top of the dial. So in the first photo, it is 1:41. Once it hits 1:60, the hour numeral 2 will aligned on the left side at 00.

I want to add the strap to other non-APs, but need to confirm how it attaches (as in could it be used with a normal springbar).
I don't expect it will be made in substantial quantities

You know them well as a CODE owner, but I am very pleased with both. The strap texture really looks great with the Starwheel.

The airy, structural CODE 11.59 case is the perfect platform for this type of watch
I'm excited to see what else lands in this case... I know others are coming. Other material combinations too. Maybe tantalum suspended in titanium? I would not count it out.

In this contemporary 11.59 case a joy! The only thing I would change: Instead of a I, I would shoose a 1. Looks a a bit empty at those places…
A very reasonable point.
I was unsure about the inclusion of the seconds hand. But truthfully, it is not so readily apparent on this watch, and the little bit of animation is nice.

I don't believe I have ever encountered an older Starwheel in the wild. Seen at the AP facilities for sure, but never out and about. Sure would love to.
The case bezel is so lean, it sure gives the watch an appearance of being larger than it is
My first CODE 11.59 piece, and I am very impressed with AP's case design and finishing.
Certainly less freaky than the UR 😉, whilst retaining AP's magnificence beyond the RO. 🙌

I know that the initial release of this series sort of bombed but I really think that the iteration of the new dials and models (this being a perfect example) really made the series become something that is really attractive!! Cognrats on a lovely watch

In general, I feel the CODE case calls for atypical dials and complications. The first dials seemed so traditional, and a "programmatic non-fit" to the case (excuse the verbiage, with the new NFL season around the corner, I think Brad Childress' statement...
I completely agree! altho I dont follow NFL or any sports for that matter so the verbiage went completely over my head lol

Basically, it is an overpaid man who commonly acts like a little girl in front of a national audience.

While I expect future versions, I think they nailed it as is. Also, production is extremely low I am told.
Might be a while before new versions come out, but I sure can dream of some options!

Quite deservedly so, IMO. I know I wrote years ago when the CODE collection launched that is should be the platform for a Starwheel. And here it is. But I am sure I am not the only one who thought it. It is just the perfect case for the timepiece.
