I like the strap too!
I would have liked to see the watch on both strap options in order to compare them. The hornback in the press pictures looks so nice. After wearing the 57th Street ROO with hornback strap for a day, I think I would've preferred it on the Montauk also.

This is one strange phenomenon about Offshores
Some don't like how it looks on their own wrist, mainly in part to how large the watch wears on the wrist. But in actuality, from far away, the Offshore looks fine on their wrists. It's just a mental thing I guess that needs to be deconstructed. - AT

I didn't do any formal testing...
