I just went through a similar scenario. Short answer-Yes!

I had seen photos here and there but recently had the opportunity to see and try the chronograph. Gorgeous piece! The weight and wrist feel immediately won me- bye bye Deepsea. I investigated the forged carbon and have zero worry about it. Won’t shatter like ceramic can. Strong as titanium and won’t show small scratches due to the finish. With the ceramic bezel it’s basically a worry free watch. AP complete case replacement is possible in any event. Mine came with a titanium grey strap along with two black rubber and a black leather with red accents. The yellow rubber is really fun but the grey could also be a second option to the black, which looks incredible imho. The black case reduces the visual mass considerably and imho suits a maturing man better than metal options. Each fc case is hand made-watch the YouTube video- and unique and grabs my imagination more than ceramic (which is also great). It’s a winner!

Audemars Piguet Offshore Divers Forged Carbon

I had this watch in 2013 and with the fear of fiber and resins falling off like the issue I had with my Grand Prix offshore I sold it . Talk about seller’s remorse! Light , practical and economical were the right words to explain the timepiece . After alm...

No doubt that she's a beautiful watch and you long for her again.

Has the reason you let her go the first time been solved? Or did you over react? I have always wondered about the durability and longevity of the forged carbon. Carbon has been in our universe a few billion years, but the man-made resin that binds it toge...

I love this version!

I kept my brand new yellow strap for the day when I can buy a carbon diver. Great for summer! Versatile and cool in my view. I too am now into middle age but I don’t think it’s too late !

Eye catching on the yellow

I love it on both. It is one I sure flirted with a time or two, but never acquired.

As long as the bezel isn’t CF, you prolly won’t have any issues—

This is why AP went away from CF bezels. The case will almost never take a big hit. I have the offshore chrono in this mix of materials and it is fine. Very cool watch - you should get it, yellow strap and all. Life’s too short.
