Dream APs?
Let's talk about our dream APs. While I love my 15300 to death, and am super satisfied with it, that doesn't mean I wouldn't want to own other APs! 
If money were no object, which AP would you choose to add to your collection?
It's so hard for me to narrow it down to just ONE dream AP. I have a soft spot for the unique Edward Piguet tourbillons that have mainplates made from rock crystal or stone. I also really like the Jules Audemars Chronap for its escapement and very cool dial layout. Those pieces would definitely be contenders for grail AP status.
However, if I had to choose one today, I think I'd go with the skeletonized Jules Audemars minute repeater with jump hour and small seconds. First, I really appreciate the depth and construction of the movement when viewed from both the dial side and verso. Finishing is, of course, very high (this is AP we are discussing). The jump seconds is my favorite complication, so it stands to reason that a jump hour would be mighty enjoyable also. Unlike so many other skeleton watches, this AP is perfectly legible. Telling time is a breeze for the most part -- yes, there is that section between 55 minutes and 5 minutes where the railroad tracks are obscured by the words "Audemars Piguet," but for the most part the watch is very readable. Then, there is the "ding dong" factor -- it's a MINUTE REPEATER!
Anyone who owns, or has played around with minute repeaters, can attest to the sheer joy that comes from interacting with a watch that makes noise!

RO Skeleton QP is very nice. I was not fully convinced by pictures, but in person -- WOW! The question is steel or platinum, really! I prefer the white metals over the yellow or rose gold for this model. xoxoxo, Daos

On me 39mm just looks wrong. However the deal breaker would be the 500,000 price tag
Even my wife thinks that I need a bigger watch if I try on anything less than 40mm. The old Royal Oak was just too small for me but this years new model size looks good on me. It's a shame as there are some smaller watches that I really like.

...I think the solid dial is better. Then of course, there are days when I want to see all the little parts on both sides of the movement. Luckily (or unluckily) for me, my wallet precludes my need to make this decision at any point in the foreseeable fut...
Jules Audemars Grand Sonnerie Carillon with the Dynamograph...
That's my favorite and I'd wear it daily. Preferably during long nights at the office when one loses track of time and is reminded by the chimes. Assuming I don't dislike having to wind it.
The new 15400ST with the black dial...
...I like the logo separate from the 12 mark and since I don't have an AP yet, I think a beautiful RO is the right way to start.
If I could only have one AP...

One of the more interesting EOT watches IMO.
The case says elegant sportiness, but the EOT complication is generally found on more classical dressy watches. :-) I like the push-pull effect of that. Cheers, Daos

I know, Jerry. It's hard. I have long lusted after the Edward Piguet rock crystal tourbillon, and the Jules Audemars with AP Escapement, but I think my choice would ultimately get the most wrist time of the three. I don't know...some days I flip-flop back...
This was one of my favorites...
...from the recent collection. It's got this sort of macho/technical feel to it, but the case adds refinement. It's a beauty, and I definitely see the appeal. Another grail AP, for sure. Cheers, Daos

Tourbillon Chronograph ROO for me
With the new carbon case and contrast inner white chrono dial, with tourbillon it is my deaming AP until now.
You never know.
If you can dream it, you can do it! This is the one that was launched at SIHH 2011, right? I like that one better than the 2012 rose gold/forged carbon tourbillon chrono. :-) I hope your dreams come true! Cheers, Daos

I think I have mine....
We all dream of something unobtainable but to me the dream was an openwork skeleton from AP who excel in skeletons. So to me my 15305 is my dream piece which I can play with every day :) Great thread, Andy.

Robin's egg highlights? Never understood that watch, nor some of the other LE ROO's. I'll wait for the Cross Bronx or Schuylkill Expressway editions - offered in pollution brown with white stripes & asphalt black with yellow stripes.
