The 4101 is the AP I would have chosen as well; too easy to go with the 'traditional' RO. The Millenary has so much wrist presence and you point out all the things I love about it: the case shape, the grey tones of the steel model, the reversed movement. And I actually like the view from the rear as well.
Interestingly, when I was in Paris recently I sort out the AP Boutique specifically to strap on the 4101 again, and it confirmed my initial feelings.
Very impressed.

I have been in love with this watch since the beginning! Each time I saw it at the AP Boutique, I had sparks in my eyes! So a few days ago, the moment came to take the plunge! Do you remember what Hayek said to a collector about the Breguet Double Tourbil...

A very strong piece ! Imho it took time to AP to get something out the RO line and it was not easy but with this special Millenary they finally did something great! I am still not into it personnaly, because of its very strong character but what a piece. ...

This is one of the best released by AP in recent years, IMHO. The 4101 is the Millenary that made me sit up and take notice of this line, apart from the Starwheel. I hope this model helps to develop greater interest in the Millenary. What a beautiful watc...

The Millenary 4101 is daring and audacious. I love the new jumbo, but I would also choose the Millenary.
The new Jumbo is really beautiful...

The "floating dial" is really a work of art...
And AP has executed this craft flawlessly... and classically. 4101 has just glorified the Millenary line. Big congratulations!
