The greatest timepiece I have owned in my years of collecting

 By: MichaelC : June 5th, 2017-10:13
Others have been more complicated, more sporty, more flashy, more precious, more daring, more technical. But none make me feel like this one does. And that is the most rewarding part of passion ...

Tis a mythical beast

wish I had a blue one too! when I wanted it originally they were abundant but I had other priorities, then when I could afford it they were suddenly 'hard' to get. Enjoy Michael Velociphile

I feel the same. [nt]

Thanks Volker. [nt]

Definitely a worthy choice, Michael!

...

As had I. Don't give up [nt]

I don't think the price has moved since I bought it, which was the same when it launched.

 By: MichaelC : June 10th, 2017-18:01
It is an expensive watch any way we consider it, but for me the pleasure it gives me is worth much more than I paid.

Indeed. [nt]

A true icon indeed

I couldn't be happier with my "Mark I" dial. ...

I never noticed the differences in the dial

This is the beauty of our forum!

...

I don't mean to be dramatic w/the title.

 By: MichaelC : June 10th, 2017-18:03
I just did not know a better way to state it

True. [nt]

 By: MichaelC : June 11th, 2017-09:16

I don't despair of owning one in the future

 By: Alkiro1 : June 5th, 2017-11:19
Enjoy yours for many times more. Best wishes Alkiro

So many Grail to own

 By: Alkiro1 : June 11th, 2017-00:33
Best wishes Alkiro

I can understand that

 By: Harry2 : June 5th, 2017-11:59
It's a truely great watch. I find there is difference between watches you admire and watches you would wear to death. This is one of the latter.

Well said, Harry. [nt]

Tough to beat!

 By: L8BRKN : June 5th, 2017-12:26
When Michael says, "Others have been more complicated, more sporty, more flashy, more precious, more daring, more technical . . . But none make me feel like this one does," he could just as easily have been talking about his wife, partner, or significant ...

You're correct!

 By: Harry2 : June 5th, 2017-18:08
For anyone, make or female of course

Comes across just fine, L8BRKN.

 By: MichaelC : June 10th, 2017-18:06
I sure could apply the words to TracieC... but maybe with some extra praise. Lucky me

You're absolutely right:

 By: massi. : June 5th, 2017-12:29
how many times I had in my hands watches, thinking anything else than "ok, it's a wonderful watch"... but without the spark of love, it's only another watch!

Great watch

no doubt about that. It is an iconic watch and it looks great on your wrist. Wear it in good health

Thanks my Friend. [nt]

Very beautiful, very cool with the "NO seconds hand", very close to its root model.

 By: HSTE : June 5th, 2017-13:35
Cheers, HSTE (Below: AP RO 5402 Serial A-3x) .......or the other one that has a blue hue (A-8xx) ...

Close for sure, but those are in a different league.

 By: MichaelC : June 10th, 2017-18:08
This works great for me, a watch I can wear every day with so much heart of the earlier models.

This is what makes this passion so very cool.

 By: TheMadDruid : June 5th, 2017-13:46
A simple watch means more than any complicated piece you've possessed. For another it might be a Perpetual or a Rattrapante. For another a three-hander. The variations are endless. Good that you found this one and have it.

I am in the same thinking that less is often more

 By: Poky : June 5th, 2017-14:34
You have captured the essence of this watch so nicely. It glimmers and what is even more impressive is its pristine condition.

My sentiments too Michael

By: Mohannad (aka Riddler) : June 5th, 2017-14:54
And I have proof ...

Indeed Riddler. You get it.

 By: MichaelC : June 10th, 2017-18:10
Now I need such a customization for mine.

Amen! [nt]

One of my covered watches.

I guess I have to save up.

Great photo.

Over the years I have acquired some cool watches but I alway gravitate back to my 15202. It just works for all occasions and is easy to wear.

Thanks Jerry. [nt]

Nice photos.

The most important thing is how it makes you feel. Forget price, complications, brands, etc... As long as it puts a smile on your face.

Agreed! [nt]

Thanks L-T. [nt]

 By: MichaelC : June 10th, 2017-18:11

I feel the same way...

 By: logan2z : June 6th, 2017-11:27
...but about my 15400, I love the 15202 and it's connection to the first Royal Oak but the 15400 was the better choice for me. Still, I love looking at the 15202 and I'm glad my watch has some of the same DNA. Enjoy!

This is the beauty of our choices.

 By: MichaelC : June 10th, 2017-18:13
If you have the same passion for the 15400 or any other, then I say congratulations. We are lucky, you and I

Very understandable!

A timeless icon! Best Blomman

An excellent reissue of 2012!

 By: Greenwatch : June 10th, 2017-18:49
Like I said in the other forum, I'm a big fan of vintage timepiece that have been reissued recently. And this 15202 falls neatly into my radar. Everything you said on this piece is 100% to my liking and I definitely agree. Hoping to land one soon. Wear th...

Thanks for your kind words, and keep us posted on the hunt!

Clearly a worthwhile target, IMO.
