AP would inevitably find some way to mess up the elegance of it and still try to remind people of the RO... maybe making the wheels octagons

Tell me if I'm wrong...

A re edition of the coolest AP ever made, the Star Wheel, would not only be an instant success, but it would make the brand less reliant on the Royal Oak than it is right now. They should keep it as a permanent collection, offering different case sizes, m...

Agree!!! I’ve always wanted to see one of these in the metal.

I believe they also made a more “modern” looking version of the Star Wheel, the name of which escapes me.

They did, it's the Millenary Star Wheel

But I'd rather see a reissue of the original, since it's my all time grail. It could be executed in a grey ceramic case for example, something alien-like, urwerk but slightly more classical.

Yes, that’s it. I’ve only seen pictures but like what I’ve seen of both.

The version you’ve come up with sounds very, very cool.

Here is one in steel I could see...

...

Gorgeous!

I am more of a fan of the original, but this version is fantastic too. AP is sitting on another icon.

Ah, that’s the one.

Thanks for sharing. I believe you have posted this one before, no? I think I’d be hard pressed to choose. Only winners here.

OK, I'll tell you,

you are NOT wrong.

I absolutely agree with you on that

Couldn’t agree more.

AP is getting way too heavy on their RO lines… this kind of classic designs should get a comeback in their catalogues pretty sure a good portion of their clients would promptly order one. I also miss some of the Millenary line models.

It's perfect because it is an extremely forward looking design

But it still retains classic charm

Agreed!

As much as I love the original, I also think it would be interesting to see AP reintroduce this with an updated model leveraging newer cases etc. A very cool watch indeed!

I see the star wheel as a complication and not a model…

as the Millenary version demonstrates. I would enjoy seeing a new version using the Code or, to illicit controversy, the Royal Oak.

Code: Starwheel seems possible

I am sure we'll see it sooner or later

 By: andrea~ : October 17th, 2022-08:24
It could also be a remastered star wheel

I wish I kept mine. It's such a beautiful watch.

Actually I wish I kept both of these watches ...

Hehe :-)
