Very well said.

You saved me a lot of typing, and you did it more eloquently. My eye is drawn to the anchor-shaped bridge moreso than the the tripod- or tower-shaped bridge, and for me the absence of the Maltese cross on the barrel was a real shame. That was the first thing I noticed when I saw the new movement -- the absence of that beautiful visual feature that is so enjoyable to witness in action. Of course, both movements are stunning.

For the OP: You really can't go wrong with either the Striking Time or the ZW Date. I've owned the Striking Time since it first came out, and I've played with the Date model quite a bit too. Both are a home run. But because we have to pick one, I'd give a slight edge to the Striking Time for the reason others mentioned. It's a really special, unusual complication. You probably have other watches with dates, but you may not have any others that chime softly four times every hour. The Striking Time is a truly practical complication if you're someone who has a lot meetings that last for 30 minutes or longer. I actually found myself relying on it, which I never expected.
