My vote is for ...
striking time, because it is a much, much more special complication than the date.
One thing to remember is that the date version has the updated movement and it is more "technically advanced" in terms of higher PR, quick-change of hour etc. On the other hand, some people argue that the older movement architecture is more aesthetically pleasing.

But I actually think that the new architecture looks a lot better, and is better finished. The successor to the anchor shaped bridge looks better and has a ton of interior angles.
