Guten tag Mark,
You take nice wristshots and the RG looks great on you.
With regards to you and Colton's dilemma on whether to decide on the Pt or the RG, well coming from me it would unbiasly be the Pt without a doubt. The beautiful roman face, that excuisite centre seconds hand in heated blued steel, and of course the "simple" yet with depth movement, all complemented with the lunar lustre of the polished bezel,lugs of the case, and not to mention all that HEFT!
This watch is a heavy weight packed not so much in the literal sense ( although by no means it can be considered a light piece) but the value and emotions that it exudes and connects with provides the blessed owner an experience foudn hardly anywhere else, at any price level. ( Hence i understand your choice totally that if you were to compare this with even more complicated models, you just might still choose the RL [ May i add further, in Pt of course
]
Mine is at present back in Glashutte, and isnt due until around about May. And while these shots of mine as rather old, i hope you can get a glimpse of how MUCH is it that i ABSOLUTELY LOVE this masterpiece from the best watch manufacture in the World.
But whatever you two decide on, whether on the RG or the Pt, you are in for a user experience that is out of this world. It brings you back to the age of days of exploration, science by the precise measurement of Time, the roaring Twenties, and wait for it ( drums roll please) as i LOVE this word, die Deutsches Beobachtungsuhren.
Tschuss and have a great rest of the week!
Stephen
