As it happens, I was in my local AD yesterday getting a strap change on a JLC and spent time with the Lange offerings they have there. I had on the Richard Lange in RG and the 40.5mm feels just about perfect on my wrist. The warmth of the RG mixed with the balance of the sweeping seconds makes this a winner in my eyes. Plus the movement is just gorgeous with the indirect drive attachment for the seconds hand.
Also tried on the new WG Lange 1 TZ which was a surprise as it has just landed in stock. The lume on the hands brings an element of sport to this beauty.
No doubt in my mind now that my first Lange will be the RL, the question is whether in RG or PT. I've yet to see the PT in the metal.

It's a discreet watch but with quite a uniquness of character, even charming I would say. But yes, this movement is really appealing even if it seems simple at first sight. Another one in the never-ending shopping list.... Cheers, Mark

About the RL, what can we say? This line has a big potential being the chronometric collection of Lange. So I still expect some interesting additions. The simple RL is a beauty, I would love to see it in WG with a dark dial. Fx

I agree that the piece is a little big for me. The problem I think is the width... it is just a bit too thick. I know this is Lange's style, but their thinner lines are superb.
I have a small wrist,
around 16mm, but I think that for this kind of marvelous watch I pay less attention on the overall sitting on my wrist than the watch itself. It's really a matter of getting used to it. Not a problem for me. Cheers.
