As always, your detailed description and photos have been very useful. I am getting this for the Saxonia AC and my temptation is to go with the "regular" clasp as it is beefy and looks substantial. Yes, I would have to get custom made straps (probably 40 mm/ 95 mm) for my thin wrist.
The only reason for getting the double folding clasp would be the screw which I imaging makes the strap change easier, no risk of scratching the sides of the clasp. I am worried the "regular" clasp is more prone to getting scratched when changing the strap due to the spring bar mechanism.

but I prefer a single-blade deployant, like the one at top, as long as it folds up (like most steel bracelets), not down. Also, the heavier weight makes the head buckle and head balance better and helps prevent turning on the wrist. -Dean
