Questions for Datograph Perpetual owners:
Hello all,
Now that a new year has started, it is an appropriate time to look at a wonderful Lange: the DATOGRAPH PERPETUAL.
How many of you owners of that fascinating timepiece:
1- keep it in a cold and dark safe (WHY?)?
2- wear it occasionally (WHEN?)?
3- wear it daily or almost daily (WHAT ARE YOUR DAILY WEARING IMPRESSIONS?)?
I find the watch elegant, versatile, stealthy, hefty, classy, complex, paradoxical, rare and... tremendously USEFUL. For all these reasons, i am thinking of acquiring one to accompany my other Langes.
But i am very curious, first, to hear the impressions of the owners.
Please note that having to wind it daily is not a "minus" but a BIG "plus" for me (i wear a classic Datograph as a daily watch and don't see any interest in the extended PR of the new model).
I hope to get some enlightening responses...

Not an owner but the answers are easy I believe...
Any Lange watch is created to be worn on a daily basis, even the most complicated ones. Moreover, the interest of a Perpetual Calendar watch is to wear it everyday... without having the need to adjust something. And winding it every morning is a wonderful...

The size of the moon display is an issue for me too
Apparently there's room for a larger “presentation” of it. So, it would be really a design option, not a “trade-off”. Right?
I have the white gold version
but must confess that though it is one of my favorite Langes, I don't wear it as often as I would like (I've worn it about 20 times in two years) because: - IMHO, it is more of a dress watch (than a casual watch). I am a retired person and don't get many ...

The white gold model with the grey dial is gorgeous . May I ask if you find the watch comfortable? I see that the case is raised at the back around the movement like the datograph, which is my only complaint about the watch... the way it rests on my wrist...

The watch with the deployant buckle is certainly comfortable. It is a bit heavier than most other watches but that is fine with me, as I like to feel a bit of substance on my wrist. Best Sam

...the Datograph Perpetual is an amazing machine where complication is entirely to the service of practicality. Its "under the radar" discretion is not the least of its charms, IMO.
