Questions for Datograph Perpetual owners:
Hello all,
Now that a new year has started, it is an appropriate time to look at a wonderful Lange: the DATOGRAPH PERPETUAL.
How many of you owners of that fascinating timepiece:
1- keep it in a cold and dark safe (WHY?)?
2- wear it occasionally (WHEN?)?
3- wear it daily or almost daily (WHAT ARE YOUR DAILY WEARING IMPRESSIONS?)?
I find the watch elegant, versatile, stealthy, hefty, classy, complex, paradoxical, rare and... tremendously USEFUL. For all these reasons, i am thinking of acquiring one to accompany my other Langes.
But i am very curious, first, to hear the impressions of the owners.
Please note that having to wind it daily is not a "minus" but a BIG "plus" for me (i wear a classic Datograph as a daily watch and don't see any interest in the extended PR of the new model).
I hope to get some enlightening responses...
Thanks and best wishes!
Fred

The watch with the deployant buckle is certainly comfortable. It is a bit heavier than most other watches but that is fine with me, as I like to feel a bit of substance on my wrist. Best Sam

Hi Fred, Happy New Year! I briefly considered the Dato Perp but opted to keep the regular Langematik Perp because I thought the subdials on the Dato Perp were too small (not a little too small -- they were very much too small for my liking). To do just ab...

Personally, i find the Dato Perp more interesting and elegant than the Langematik Perp. And i love the functionality of the 10 o'clock pusher. I don't mind having to look closely to find out the day and month. I'll probably opt for the Dato Perp in PT. Bu...

Not sure I can add much to the discussion. This is a magnificent timepiece. Yes the day of week and month displays are a bit small, but frankly all that counts is the date, and that is easy to read with the traditional form of Lange outsize date. Setting ...
