Great post as usual, Emmanuel.
For me, the Lange 1 is incomparable - even against other Langes. Not that it's necessarily the "best" Lange (if there is such a singular watch) - but it is the original for the re-founding of the brand. And so unique dial-side.
The Saxonia Thin is also a wonderful piece. Interestingly, in your final photo, the 124xxx movement does not have perlage under the click-spring, nor micro-bevelled teeth on the crown and ratchet wheels like later examples do. To me, the micro-bevelled teeth - in particular - add a thrilling "gleam" to this otherwise very simple movement and definitely take it up a level in appreciation. Technically, though, to me the 72-hour power reserve from a single barrel and the rate stability in such a thin calibre are strong achievements.
