Thank you.

I guess my assumption was also that there would not be developing a new calibre from scratch, and so much of the development costs would be avoided. I don’t know if they would be bashed for doing this, but perhaps you are right if they were to just roll out the identical line up again. In my mind I had thought perhaps a refresh on cases, and dials obviously. The calibres could be the same (in theory).
And the point re cases all being the same, save for the Odysseus, I don’t quite understand this. Are you saying that in terms of production cost the simple fact that the ZW, Dato and 1815 have round cases leads to efficiencies? They are all different cases, in different sizes. The only common aspect is that they all round. I’m missing something here clearly as I can’t understand why a non round case is such a change. Perhaps it’s machine costs, can existing machines cannot be retooled to make rectangular cases?
No question I guess that any rectangular watch would have limited appeal.

In order to make a new watch like the Cabaret, they would have to construct a new case and a movement for this form. The investment cost for this needs to be earned by the number of watches that you are going to sell in this model line. I. e. all types an...

One workaround is to just re-issue it...

They are with no doubt true Lange lovers, as well as watchmaking lovers. You don't choose a shaped watch with a dedicated movement if you don't understand it. You know what I mean, it's a matter of balance between aesthetic and mechanics. Lange's path is ...

Well analyzed

BTW there is also a special edition for LOG (Lange Owner's group) in white gold (silver dial), if I remember correctly

Gorgeous

I might have to own one of these one day. The Cabaret is so good.

Loves the Cabaret.

Especially this particular variant. It is such a cool piece from Lange. Hope they will bring back the Cabaret in one form or another in the future.

I prefer the PT version (black dial)

to the regular WG (blue dial) but the latter is also beautiful

Thank you for opening my eyes . . .

with this post. I love my Grande Lange 1 and have always considered another piece from the marque. Whenever I see the Cabaret, I immediately skip over it, reminding myself that I have a stunning gold Reverso that "scratches that itch". But seeing this one...

Thank you for the kind words.

I will remember what you said next time I wear the watch
