As a purchaser of honey gold, I'm not sure I like it as much as normal yellow or rose gold. Yellow and rose gold have this incredible "richness" and warmth that just makes them likeable. Even bronze is likeable. Copper pots are likeable. But honey gold......

Winding that watch is so painful! The new one is slightly less painful, but still pretty bad. Thus, the Zeitwerk is great as a "special occasion" watch. But as a regular daily, it's just too painful to wind, and (lest we forget) reliability isn't exactly ... 

Hi Patrick, I was curious about the reliability comment for the OG ZW. When I first got mine (one of the earliest Striking Time movements), it would stop running prematurely. A quick trip to the factory permanently fixed this. I believe some other people ...

I just found the Striking Time to be too big, heavy, and the strap too narrow for my wrist. I like Panerais, Panerai watches are comfortable. They're huge watches, but the straps are wide and soft, and the width spreads the weight of the heavy watch on a ...

Great music. Lovely watches. I got to speak with Alkis, the watchmaker for Lange Service in NYC, he's fantastic... Good food. Good champagne (Veuve, but it wasn't too dry). I was surprised to see such a long line, but it turned out to be worth it!

I can't wait to be in Singapore again! So many amazing watch collectors in an amazing city!

When Lange first introduced honey gold in 2010, I got the 1815 Moonphase and the Lange 1 Tourbillon, both in HG (matching numbers). I did this primarily because HG seemed like a special metal, and I thought Lange wouldn't use it very often. But then, in s... 

Still, the honey gold is beautiful. Just not as beautiful as YG, RG, nor WG.

And also for your explanation about 7:52. I learned something new! Two questions ... The 5-minute clock cannot display "52" so how do the audience know it's time to take their seats? (I'm assuming they don't totally rely on the clock) And, do you happen t... 

The hours are indicated in Roman numerals: I, II, III, IIII, V, ... XII. The minutes are blank, 5, 10, 15, ... 55.

The gong rings at 7:52. But the five minute clock still shows VII:50. Audience only knows to take their seats from the audible gongs. When the time transitions from 7:59 to 8:00, the minutes discs will show 0 for the tens digit and 0 for the single digits... 

For the Clock, it's a blank window. Oops. Sorry!
