An interesting question.......
Because that is how it goes. For me it was the Langematik Perpetual in Platinum. I was looking for a Perpetual Calendar with Moonphase and thought that I was going to get a Patek but, in my research, I came across the Lange. I didn’t know a lot about Lange at that point, but I soon became interested once I had read up on them. I found a dealer within reasonable driving distance who had both watches in stock so I drove there and tried them both out. From initially thinking that I’d get a Patek, I was surprised by how much more I preferred the Lange once I had them side by side. Ownership of that watch led to me becoming interested in the brand and, of course, I then had to add the Datograph as a natural next step.
My Lange trifecta was completed when I was fortunate enough to acquire the offspring of those two models which has now become my favourite watch of all.

Bought it last year Lost it to customs who deemed it reproduction And it was destroyed. After getting lawyers involved Recuperated my money. Will get either this or the Ginza Boutique langematik with similar design but not in MOP
