There's a lot to be said for understatement these days. In a time of garish watch designs, I tend to gravitate now toward cleaner designs and understatement.
and I guess understatement may also help from becoming a victim of street theft in certain cities, which unfortunately seem to have become an issue of late
I don't think you can go wrong with either
I love the looks and warmth of the RG version. But when push came to shove, I went for the understatement of the WG. It's a bit easier to wear in an urbane setting, public transportation etc. ...

I've had two: one Yellow and my current one Rose. The Rose looks and feels more luxurious

I like the white gold a lot, but the rose gold is just so much warmer and has a world of character. I think I would go for the rose! Thanks so much for sharing

Never owned one, instead when push came to pull I went for other references. I still love it though. Originally it was the WG, but if I was to choose today it would be the RG. I did try very hard to get the recent Wempe edition (blue dial, RG case). Alas,...

WG will be perfect daily wearer...but there is no wrong choice here. even the previous 36mm version is a cool one. Best, mahesh.,

I chose the RG version, and it’s my favorite dress watch. You can’t go wrong with any of the metals.

I love how the RG version has all polished sides, like a true pocket watch. A spectacular piece, one I am so tempted to add to my collection.
