Sorry, Kari, but it pains me to have to say that...

your wrists are definitely not in the least bit photogenic.
In respect of the watches – as much as the embossing isn’t as quite in your face as the press release renders (presumably – and if so, like most of the industry, they need to dial it back a bit or just wait and bother making the effort to photograph their new pieces properly!), I still consider it to be a vulgarity on a Patek, and very unbecoming of such an exalted brand.
The diamond baguettes should’ve been replaced with ruby ones, since Ruby marks a 40th Anniversary, but having already done that for “regular” models, they completely painted themselves into a corner on that one.
Personally, the 40th should’ve been marked with a return to the original 3700 (blue/black dial and SS), but with the seconds hand, so as not to be an identical copy.
I do like that they’ve printed the brand name on a block (for want of a better descriptive term), which mirrors what they do/did with the ‘ordinary’ Pt950 5711.
Still can’t stand the chronograph – nice idea in theory, but whether Mrs Stern designed it or not, it smacks of a fundamental lack of understanding of aesthetic design principles.
