Zenith S 58 2d generation, automatic.

I always had a fascination for the S 58, whose meaning is uncertain, by the way.

The diving watch, by Zenith.

The first generation was " dateless ", and housed a manual winding movement. My favorite.

But the second generation doesn't lack charm.

Another hunting playground of mine...

Best,

Nicolas

“s” is “ super water resistant” and 58 is the water resistance in fathoms. (One fathom is six feet). This is according to a letter I have seen (in copy) from a Zenith employee dealing with vintage and collectible watches.

Thank you so much, Kjell. Much appreciated. [nt]

This is what Zenith says: Dear Sir, (...) The collection " S 58 " means S = Super water-resistant up to 150 meters and 58 for the year of launching the model. (...) With my best regards. Marc Roethlisberger ZENITH INTERNATIONAL SA Customer Service
