Not that bad actually...
When Zenith presented this new declination of the El Primero I was very afraid of the contrast between vintage and modernity.
Finally FX, your wristshot changed my first opinion. The dial is in fact quite harmonius...
But if I had to choose, I would of course keep my A386!

i agree. i know it's heresy but i did like some of the style cues of the old regime: this open aperture thing, however, was not one of them. it was just a little outre in my eyes. the new direction of zenith does definitely have some very attractive model...

Like you, I believe (well... I'm sure) that priority goes to the minutes counter. So at least, I would have make it overlap the hours counter. It is a constant issue Zenith is currently facing. The only way to solve this is to draw a sober hours counter l...

There was a time when the odd shaped aperture intrigued me... and it is a unique Zenith design... but the novelty has grown some mole-hairs hairs on its chin... truly needs to be tossed in 2012. Zenith looks a little desperate to be unique at this viewing...

about time zenith dropped this fugly open dial thing...sorry but it just looks so wrong on that watch, over complicates the dial and spoils it totally...now the last watch is beautiful....the open thing might be part of zenith's heritage, but they dont se...
