I don't feel for this one
I can't quite explain. I like what Zenith is doing these past few years, but as a brand, I find maybe less than 10% of their watches hugely desirable and highly attractive.
What keeps me devoted is that once in a while they come up with something great, like the Academy CC, the Striking 10th, the Type 20 Special. Most of their collections fail to stir my soul. There is something aesthetically not right about the dial layout on this one, but I can't quite explain. The whole watch does not come together nicely in my opinion. That said, I think from the sound of it, I am a minority. The 410 will be hugely popular, and I think this version is nicer than the limited slate grey dial we saw late last year.

Could it be the proportional relationship between . . .
. . . the sub-dials and the dial that's bothering you? The original had a tighter correlation between them . . .
Overlapping subdials
Yes perhaps. Many had a lot to say about the overlapping subdials on the Striking 10th and other El Primeros. I actually like them, but I think the 410 was Zeniths response to the critics. Warmest, Dean

style-wise, the 410 is part of the Captain series, and there, the chronographs never had overlapping subdials. We also have to differ: ON the Striking 10th, the overlpping subdial has no functional disadvantage. Also, on the historical timepieces, the ove...

What makes you think that style wise the 410 is part of the Captain series? It has an El Primero line case design and the date at 4:30pm not 6:00pm.

I like this watch
I wonder if Zenith could clean the edges of the watch up a little though. I feel it's a little too busy where the tachymeter and is. Too many lines there. Cheers, Anthony
