cuibono,
Irrespective of personal opinions (all polite ones accepted), the sales figures during the Nataf-era were not bad at all.
They coincided with the boom years of watch sales and people were trying to out-do each other with reckless abandon. Makers and buyers were equally bouyed by the rising economy, hype and upmanship......I confess....I was one of them. Then, the bust came and people reassessed their priorities. In adversity, only the best survive.
"When the going gets tough, the tough get going." The others just go.
So, it depends on how you measure success....by $ value or by artistic value or by some-other value.
Since opinion is personal, we don't discourage personal choice and debate here. Imagine how bland we would be if people raved only about the two case shapes and one font-type of Panerai?
Regards,
MTF
