had my Habring2 out for a stroll and came back to see a cover from the woods. Then there was that wine from Paris, now consumed but the label preserved for its memory. Something for the wine lovers too. The date is wrong, had to catch up all week after th...
End of the holidays tomorrow... 1400 Kilometers by car... So, tomorrow, this will be the turn of my Sonata to be on the wrist. The uploader doesn't work, so no pic for me today... Best, Nicolas
. . . the crystal is highly reflective, so it's hard to get a decent shot of the dial. This was the best of more than sixty wrist shots taken yesterday, and still not entirely satisfactory. Art
The strap I got from Bim! And as he is a big fan of Sweden I thought it was very appropriate to use the strap in the "heart" of Sweden! :) Best Blomman
Art, Nice theme and following the PuristSPro school: I didn't had a clue of what is "persimmon" until I Google the name! Here this name is "dióspiro" from the Greek dióspuron (food of Zeus) or, more common, "caqui", from the Japanese kaki". Back to watche...
. . . a thirty-plus year old tree recently felled at Uncle Jake's farm. It's going to my cue maker, who will fashion a wrap of persimmon wood . . . [image from google search] . . . on to a purpleheart handle . . . . . . similar to this stick with an Afric...
. . . cut from the oldest persimmon tree on Uncle Jake's farm later this weekend, which will then have to be cured for at least a year before he can make use of them. If the wood turns out to be good enough to use, start planning a trip to So Cal for eith...
I take the road in 5 hours, and have to drive 1400 Kilometers tomorrow... I doubt I will have the time to post a pic of the Sonata tomorrow... ;) All the best, Don Arturo. Nicovlad, almost in his coffin.
... but I can tell you they are worth it! I guess you could bring a tile back home to use as a prop, but it's hard to import the beautiful summer light. Safe travels. Andrew
Thanks Thomas, this was part of the forestry that only sees sunlight for a few hours a day. The pic was taken mid afternoon and it still has dewdrops on it. There are some things about wales i miss. Best G
. . . for the Christof Colomb. Thanks for sharing this image, flamenco. Noteworthy that both the Zenith and your Grand Seiko beat at a resonant frequency of 5 Hz. Are you partial to high-beats, like Ginger? Enlightened, Art
Indeed I am fascinated, and a cheaper way than getting a tourbillon ! Unfortunately, I do not own any Zeniths, but the wife does .. A couple more photos of the beast ! As u can see the protective wrapper was in place when I shot the watch. ...
... of this Zenith, but hope to handle one some day. I love the hand-made rawness to it. A bit art deco, a bit steam punk and a lot of Jules Verne. Very cool piece. Andrew
. . . from the deck of the battleship USS California, but I think he uses it just for decoration, not for shafts or handles. Light, both physically and in terms of coloration, teak is extremely durable, and while we know it primarily as deck planking mate...
That outside table that I use as a support/backdrop for many of my photos is teak. One of my favourite pieces of furniture because of the way it weathers. And it reminds me of long summer BBQ lunches and cold beer. :-) Cold and wet here at the moment. And...
Did you eat all that Thomas? It amazes me how much our american purists seem to eat, but none are what i would call fat. There are a lot of obese people in US, but none of them own watches :-)
Do you recall the rigorous testing that every ABR was put through?! Click here: http://home.watchprosite.com/show-forumpost/fi-17/pi-3017181/ti-500591/s-0/ :-) Andrew
and many others appreciate it. It has a tremendous reflection and is difficult to photograph. I have not taken any new pictures in a while so maybe it's time now. Thank you for your appreciation! Anders
... just get better and better. And I imagine it is not so easy to control reflections. A lovely warmth and clarity this week. I appreciate the effort. Andrew
I've probably taken 500 pictures of this but have only 46 in the album. They are taken in different environments with changing light. To shoot in daylight is probably the best, but not in direct sunlight. Best regards Anders ...
From NYC to California, wearing my reliable travel watches. Today up in the mountains on retreat, wearing the Breitling while practicing my painting skills. Last week -- well, you recognize Miss Liberty and/or the Wempe boutique Cazalea ...
